You're Going to Wish St. Patrick's Day Came More Than Once a Year

My family and corned beef are in chilly relationship. It's the traditional meal for St. Patrick's Day, but since we aren't Irish and neither are our tastebuds, the choice is usually a different one for us. This year, in my quest to find a non-corned beef Irish meal, I found these Irish Pub Sandwiches.

Friends, do NOT wait until the next St. Patrick's Day to make these sandwiches. They are so delicious and full of deep, rich flavor, especially for the amount of work they don't require. This is an easy slow cooker recipes, but the combination of ingredients (yes, you'll probably need to make a grocery run for a few things) is absolutely worth it. I've made shredded beef sandwiches of a lot of varieties over the years, but these were the absolute best ones I've ever made. The only adjustment I made to the recipe was adding a few cranks of cracked pepper and a little shake of garlic powder instead of the garlic pepper. I also used a different brand of gravy mix, but I don't think that really matters. About the cooking time I'll say, put the roast in early in the day and let cook on low for as long as you can to get a nice tender bit.

We built our sandwiches on soft rolls with Provolone cheese, and each bite was mouth-wateringly good. They were messy, but in the best possible way. I would totally make these my St. Paddy's meal every year just for the leftovers, and I doubt I'll wait that long to make them again.

Yummmm! These look amazing, and the way you describe them makes me want to have at least 2 of them at once. Sometimes, when weeks are less demanding and we can have a chill weekend at our house, me and my housemates do burger night, but for next time we might give this a try! Thanks for sharing :)
