Giving Ramen an Upgrade

When I make my monthly menu, I always ask my fam if there's anything they've been craving. Usually, they don't have much to contribute, so sometimes I stalk my daughter's Pinterest boards to see if she's saved anything. This month paid off with a winner--Slow Cooker Beef Ramen Noodles.

I've made recipes with a similar ingredient line-up before, but I was especially glad to see this one used the slow-cooker. I try to use the slow cooker at least once a week to free up extra time around our meals. This time, I cooked the ground beef in the slow cooker, drained it, and then added the other ingredients. I didn't have to get any extra dishes dirty (always a win in my book), and it was easy peasy.

This was a very tasty dish. Obviously, the ramen was just the noodles and not the seasoning packets, so it was a little different than the norm. We all loved this dish. It's amazing to me how quickly the noodles cook once they are added to the slow cooker. If you have some extra packets of ramen sitting around, but don't want the standard meal, I highly recommend this one.

This is such a good idea! I love cooking and trying new recipes, but I literally despise the mess it makes and having to do all the dishes afterward. A slow cooker seems like such a move! I'll have to revisit your blog when I don't live in a dorm anymore and have my own kitchen!

I love ramen! such a easy meal to make and add your own twist to the meal for something different. My friends have me hooked on all the different recipes for ramen. I know a lot of people add an egg to it when cooking, I will have to give this a try!

How do you keep your monthly menu from being the same every month? I find that deciding what to eat every day is one of the harder daily decisions let alone making that decision for everyone in the family. The ramen seems like a great way to change up the menu to something much less predictable.
