Bummer


There are some recipes I get really jazzed about. This Clam Chowder Cheesy Pasta Bake definitely fell into that category.

We love clam chowder at our house, and I was sooooooo looking forward to the chance to experience those flavors in a new way.  But this was not that recipe.  Not. Even. Close.

I don't know if it was the abundance of garlic flavor, or not enough clam flavor, but ick.  The only redeeming quality of this recipe was the oyster crackers, they were delicious.  I'm dreading the million containers of leftovers hanging out in the fridge.  If I stall long enough will they go bad so we don't have to eat them?  Here's hoping.

So, now I'm back in a holding pattern, merely eating clam chowder as clam chowder.  Luckily it's pretty good that way.
