It seems like there's always something to celebrate. For our family, right now, we're celebrating the end of a great VBS week, the official start of summer vacation, Father's Day, and even late bedtimes now that school is out.
Friday we gathered with neighbors and friends to chat, hang-out, and do s'mores. One of our neighbors was celebrating his birthday, but since I know their family isn't particularly fond of cake, I decided to make Birthday Cake Caramel Corn instead. There's nothing terribly cakey about it, even though I added vanilla, mostly the sprinkles are it. We all enjoyed it as a sweet/salty snack, though.
As an aside, we've found the most awesome roasting marshmallows! These Kraft Stackermallows roast up evenly (much better than those ginormous Campfire ones), and provide a huge mess of marshmallowy goodness. Witness this awesome s'more from our gathering last night.
