The Bacon Cheeseburger is an All-American classic. We love them, but with summer temperatures, it's hard to even eat a full burger.
Enter the Bacon Cheeseburger Salad. It's basically a sloppy joe mixture served on salad greens and the other toppings are exactly what you would put on a burger. It was very tasty but not heavy and overly filling. A new summer favorite. In the future, I'll go with my instinct and use something other than American cheese. Shredded cheddar or colby-jack would work fine. The American cheese just clumped together and didn't mix into the salad well.
