Indifference


I tried this recipe for Ham and Broccoli Shells from Finding Joy in My Kitchen. Of course I'm on board for anything with cheese in it, but I thought this would be a good way to get a lot of vegetables into our meal in a tasty way. For me, this recipe was just okay (I think I'm channeling a little Randy Jackson as I write this). I don't think the changes I made would have made it bland, and yet that's how it tasted to me. I substituted rotini for shells, and used 2% mild cheddar instead of monterey jack and cheddar. On a bright note, our littlest eater loved it, including the broccoli, and ate two helpings!

I think I might keep this recipe around for another pass. Maybe a different day or different combination and I'll find it more to my liking.
