A cool August day prompted me to try this recipe for Ham and Corn Chowder yesterday. Amazingly enough, I had all of the ingredients I needed on hand. That rarely seems to happen when I'm making soup from scratch. My modifications were just that I used turkey ham in place of the regular, as that was what I had, and no hot sauce. It was good soup after just a little time on the stove for the flavors to meld. I'm hoping the leftovers will be even better.
