I’ve made rings of things using crescent rolls before, so I knew that part would be a winner. I also knew breakfast ingredients almost never miss. I’ll say this, though, I did NOT expect it to be quite this tasty. Cooking everything in bacon grease is the secret folks, and if you’ve not tried it you are missing out.
For our breakfast ring, I used a combination of cheddar and Velveeta cheeses—cheddar for flavor, Velveeta for meatiness (and to use it up). Everything else was pretty much as listed in the recipe. I honestly think you could do more than two cups of hash browns. The ring might be a little harder to close, but it will sure taste awesome!
A bit or two in, my family gave me the official green light to “make this again”. Guess that means it’s a keeper!
