Banana Pancake Tuesday

Pancake Tuesday is an annual tradition at this house, and this year's installment--Brown Sugar Banana Pancakes--was pretty amazing.

The recipe ingredients called for are all pretty standard. Instead of buttermilk, I used milk plus vinegar to achieve the curdled effect. I took the ingredients at face value and used two fairly small bananas. The batter ended up being thick, but not much more than some I've had.

We topped our pancakes with Bourbon Caramel Pecan Sauce, toasted pecans, and whipped cream. I chose pecans because I prefer the flavor to those of walnuts as suggested in by the recipe creator. These pancakes were so decadent, but yet not too rich to eat and enjoy. I will absolutely be making them again.

This sounds so good! I’ve been wanting to try different breakfast foods since mine are usually pretty boring, and these pancakes sound like a great place to start. The Bourbon Caramel Pecan Sauce sounds amazing! I like the buttermilk swap too rather than just plain milk. Definitely adding this to my list to try!

These look amazing! I love making homemade pancakes, I usually make blueberry ones most of the time. These banana ones seem fairly easy to make so I think I'd like to try making them over spring break!

Omg these sounds and look amazing! The Bourbon Caramel Pecan Sauce sounds like something that would taste amazing on an ice cream sundae. I will need to try and make this recipe with gluten free flour. Thanks for sharing!
