Dessert for Deacons: July Edition

Our church deacons met again this week after taking the month of June off.  I gave my hubby some options for what dessert he would like, and he chose these Butterfinger Blondies.

I was eager to try this recipe.  It was one of my earliest pins on Pinterest, plus I always love Butterfinger.  I followed this recipe as written, except I followed the blogger's instruction to just sprinkle the Butterfingers on top of the frosting.

These are sweet!  Good, but the layer of frosting on top of blondies was too much for me.  If I make them again, I think I will try adding some salted pecans to the batter (we love the Butterfinger Pecan Flavor of the Day at Culvers), and then serve them with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
