In the course of planning my November meals, I ran across this recipe for Mexican Chicken Stew from Lynn's Kitchen Adventures. Every recipe I've tried of Lynn's has been great, so I couldn't wait to try this one.
No disappointment here. The stew was thick, rich, and delicious. We topped ours with cheese and chips, as Lynn suggests, but also a little sour cream. This dish makes a ton, so have a plan for the extras!
Since it was another Awana night, I was looking for an easy side. I tried this 7-up Salad from Tasty Kitchen. I took the suggestion to use black cherry Jello instead of lime. This was easy and good and I'd use the recipe again, but no raves.
