Sweets in Springtime

We did our usual Wednesday trade with my parents last night--I fix dinner and then they babysit while we're at Awana. I did easy meatball sandwiches (by easy I mean frozen meatballs, a jar of sauce, bought sandwich rolls, and a crockpot). I wanted something a little bit more special for dessert. The strawberries at the store looked good so I went in search of a fast easy recipe, no crust to make being the key criteria. I found this recipe for Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler at All Recipes. It's another winner at our house with the following modifications: 3 Tbs butter and 3 cups of fruit. I really want to try this with a bunch of different fruits as we go through the summer and get more seasonal choices.
P.S. Don't forget to have whipped cream on top!
