Bye-Bye Bisquick!

So tonight's dinner (and a diversion from my menu plan) needed to use up the leftover Easter eggs. I remembered an old standby of Mom's from my growing up years--Goldenrod Eggs. However, I went in search of a biscuit recipe to use instead of putting the gravy over boring toast. I spotted this recipe for Fluffy Biscuits on All Recipes that sounded promising based on the member reviews. I took the reviewers advice and substituted cold, salted butter for the shortening. Wow. So good and tasty I know I'll be making biscuits from scratch a lot more often!
